About Spark Club

Our SPARK and SPARK jr. clubs promote social and emotional learning for elementary and middle school ages.  These programs features hands-on activities, creative expression, and digital content creation (SPARK only), allowing children to engage with SEL concepts through art, storytelling, media projects, role-play, and collaborative learning. Through SPARK, children build critical SEL competencies such as emotional regulation, empathy, responsible decision-making, and interpersonal skills.

Each week SPARK learner will engage in group discussion and collaborative. Each week may have up to 12 participants. 

Participants are expected to:

  • Be kind, inclusive, and respectful to others, including peers, staff, and guests.
  • Use safe, appropriate language and behavior at all times.
  • Follow instructions from staff and participate in activities with minimal support needed from staff. 
  • Take care of program materials, supplies, and shared spaces.
  • Respect personal boundaries and physical space.
  • Express themselves creatively and responsibly.

SPARK Club

 (ages 11-14) 

Wednesdays 3:30-7:00pm 

This group helps middle schoolers learn social and emotional skills. Each week participants engaging in interactive activities, guided discussions, and skill-building exercises develop tools to manage stress, improve relationships, and make thoughtful choices aligned with their goals and values. Ongoing teamwork projects include collaborative art projects, digital content creation (videos, podcast, visual journals), and more. 

Dinner is provided as well as time to chill with friends.


Participants residing in Riverwood and those walking to club are welcome to arrive between 3:15pm and 4:00pm and assist with setting up for the evening. 

Evening activities will officially start at 4:00pm. 

Pick up between 6:30-7:00pm

 $45 per week

September Activities:

 Sept 10th: We’re making Story Cubes and learning how flexible thinking helps us see new possibilities and play an active part in our own story.


Sept 17th: We're getting digital while exploring identity and self-expression. Using technology, we'll create self-portrait collages.


Sep 24th: This week we’re creating a group button art collage;  celebrating each person’s unique pieces and the beauty of bringing them together as one community.

SPARK jr.

(ages 5-10) 

Mondays 4:30-6:30pm

 In this fun and supportive group, kids learn important skills to help them understand their feelings, make good choices, and be kind to themselves and others. Through stories, games, art, and teamwork, participants build confidence, learn how to handle tough moments, and practice being their best selves—at school and beyond! 

$40 per week

Chess and Lego Club

7-10 Year-Olds

1st and 3rd Saturdays 9:30am-11:30am 

Clayton Location


This small group provides a supportive space for elementary age children who's special interest are chess and Legos while encouraging essential social skills such as conversational skills, friendship, sharing, and being mindful of others. 


*Group size is intentionally limited to foster meaningful social and emotional growth.* 

$45 per week

Girls Group

Girls Group

 Ages 11-18

Mondays 6:30-7:30 pm 

(Clayton Location)


An encouraging and supportive space for neurodivergent girls.  This group promotes positivity and self-awareness through activities such as yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, artful expression, and creative processes. 


(yoga mats and all supplies for creative expression provided)
